about

Splash Blue Proudly Presents:

‘Kitchen Table Coffee’ – The debut single from
AliKe.

The foundations for AliKe were borne out of a school band at Saint
Cecilia’s School in London, where four students - Lucas Clahar, Izzy
Marangos, Theo Maniura and Ethan Sweeting discovered similarities in their unique music taste. Like most bands, their first tentative steps into music were playing covers of favourite songs and this grew into the creation of a collaborative playlist on Spotify called “The List” - where each would add songs that they envisioned the band playing together.

This in turn, lead the band to progress to create their own compositions – which they produced at Lucas’s garden studio.

‘AliKe’ represents the interrelationships between the band members
and the collective bond that they have. Musically, they are completely aligned, often able to complete chord progressions that another member of the band has started to lay down.

Jean-Paul ‘Bluey’ Maunick - founder of Incognito, composer and record producer, heard the band’s music for the first time at an exhibition of art created by Lucas’s Mother. He was particularly impressed by the track “Kitchen Table Coffee” and he offered to produce it professionally in his own studio, along with another song called “Onto Better Things”.

Together with Bluey’s guidance, the band believe this to be a turning point in their collective career and they are looking forward to what the future may hold for them.

‘AliKe’ will be supporting Incognito at their 40th Anniversary gig in
London at the IndigO2 on 4ht December.

Their debut single “Kitchen Table Coffee” will be released on 22nd
November on Splash Blue.
